To carry
Put the heroes to rest And fall into the webs spun of courage and peace
In 2018 I rented a space in an old nunnery- I told a friend- a nun is trying to talk to me, he said- make her tea and sit at your altar and listen to her. I did, and she told me many things, one of what was her name was Hildegarde.
Later I was at another friends house and told him of this experience, "let's look it up" he said "let's see if there is any famous nuns named Hildegarde." Well, you might know where this is going.. because there is a very famous nun named Hildegarde, Hildegard von Bingen. She received visions, she was an artist, an herbalist, and a fierce advocate for women and human rights. She hung very close to me for awhile, a spirit teacher from 1098, then has drifted in and out since then. The other morning, I heard loudly to open her book. These are the words I read:
Everything good takes place out of Love, her countenance shines like the sun and tells us in this way that we should turn every aim of our hearts towards the true sun.
Then I wrote a poem, this poem below, for you- there was more to the poem, but this is the part that felt divine, the other part was hurting, angry, fed more the monster of division, but once I wrote: let us call in a power, a higher power- the words shifted and a more clear message arrived.
Let us call in a power, a higher power, the nameless,
Divine form we all have connection to,
are a part of-
The unitive field, that is conscious and sentient.
Feed the spirit that moves through all things
Let it wave through us
Giving us strength and purpose
courage, the heart wisdom,
To carry our part.
Do not Fear,
When you are overwhelmed-
Relax.
Our ego does not know how to
Right size our actions.
It thinks it must be a hero or nothing at all-
Ahh, now little ego
It is time to decentralize and organize
To lean in to the fungal society
Because it is here-
Put the heroes to rest
And fall into the webs spun
of courage and peace
Our hearts will emerge
Stronger, larger than
The idea of what
we can and
Cannot do.
The time of death (evolution)
Is the most important for releasing love
That changes the field, the air shimmers different, the
Firmament sighs–
Thank you Meshi for looking up Hildegarde with me, and Thank you Isabel for risking giving me the feedback on the poem.
